We are independently owned and funded by product sales. We do not accept payment to feature, review or recommend other companies' products, and no third party pays to influence the guidance published on this site. Where a page recommends a TRAVELYTES™ product, that is a commercial recommendation from us and is labelled as such in context.

Every hydration guide is written in-house by the TRAVELYTES™ editorial team and checked against current public-health guidance before publication. We are a product company, not a clinical publisher: we describe what official health bodies advise, and we link to the primary source so you can read it yourself rather than take our word for it.

• Claims about the body, the cabin environment or the climate must be traceable to a named source.
• Sources must be a public-health body, a regulator, or peer-reviewed research — not a competitor's marketing page.
• Statistics are quoted with the source visible on the page, not buried in a footnote.
• Product pages state the full ingredient and nutrition breakdown, with GTINs and country of origin.

They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, including deep vein thrombosis, altitude sickness, motion sickness or hangover. We follow the UK advertising rules for food supplements and the EU register of authorised nutrition and health claims, and US-facing copy is written to the FDA's structure/function claim rules.

• No medicinal, therapeutic or disease-prevention claims in any product or marketing copy.
• No invented testimonials, ratings, endorsements, certifications or clinical trial results.
• No implied relationship with any airline, cruise line, hotel or retailer we do not have an agreement with.
• Nutrition claims limited to those authorised in the EU register for the nutrient and dose actually present.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. If you are pregnant, have a history of blood clots, or take prescription medication, speak to your GP, pharmacist or physician before long-distance travel.

Hydration guides and travel-rule tools carry a visible last-reviewed date. Guides are re-checked against their sources at least every 12 months, and immediately whenever an underlying guideline, regulation or product specification changes. Travel-rule tools such as the ETIAS and Schengen checkers are verified against the official government source before any change is published.

If you find an error — a misquoted figure, a broken source link, an out-of-date rule — email hello@travelytes.com with the page address and what is wrong. We aim to respond within five working days. When we correct a substantive factual error we update the page, refresh its last-reviewed date, and note the change where the correction affects the meaning of the original text.
