New free travel tools: Schengen 90/180 calculator, passport validity checker and live flight status

Planning a trip across the EU shouldn't require a spreadsheet, a lawyer and a calendar app. So we built the tools we wished existed — free to use, mobile-friendly, and designed around the questions travellers actually ask us.
1. Schengen 90/180 Calculator
The Schengen calculator tracks your rolling 180-day window and tells you — in plain English — how many days you have left, when your allowance resets, and the earliest date you can re-enter for a stay of any length.
- Traffic-light status — SAFE, CAUTION or DO NOT ENTER at a glance.
- Actual vs planned trips — see how future travel affects your allowance before you book.
- Re-entry planner — enter the length of your next trip and get the earliest legal entry date.
- UK date format — no more Month/Day/Year guessing games.
2. Passport Validity Checker
Since Brexit, UK passports need to meet two Schengen rules — not one. Our passport checker validates both: issued within the last 10 years and at least 3 months' validity beyond your planned exit date. It handles the pre-September 2018 UK passport quirk automatically.
3. Live Flight Status
Our flight status tracker pulls real-time departure, arrival and gate data so you can plan your hydration window before boarding — particularly useful on long-haul and multi-leg itineraries where a delay changes everything.
Why we built them
TRAVELYTES™ exists to reduce flight tiredness and travel dehydration. But hydration doesn't help if you get turned around at border control, or miss a connection because your gate changed. These tools close the gap between "I'm going somewhere" and "I'm ready to go."
All three are free. No signup for the passport checker or flight status. The Schengen calculator saves your trips if you create a free account, so you can come back later.
